WOW: Did Ford Just Recall EVERY Vehicle?

Ford Motor Company shattered the automotive industry’s recall record in 2025 with over 150 recalls—nearly double General Motors’ previous high—affecting every model in their consumer lineup except one, raising urgent questions about corporate quality control and consumer safety.

Record-Breaking Recall Volume Exposes Quality Crisis

Ford Motor Company issued more than 150 recalls during 2025, establishing an unprecedented crisis that nearly doubled General Motors’ previous single-year record of 77 recalls set in 2014. The sheer volume of safety defects affecting virtually Ford’s entire consumer vehicle lineup represents a stunning departure from industry norms and raises serious concerns about the automaker’s quality control processes. This pattern suggests systemic failures rather than isolated component issues, undermining consumer confidence in a brand that once exemplified American manufacturing reliability. The scope of this crisis demands accountability from Ford’s leadership and thorough scrutiny from federal regulators.

Sixteen Models Affected Across All Vehicle Categories

Ford’s recall crisis spans its complete product portfolio, affecting 16 distinct models across SUVs, trucks, passenger cars, and commercial vans. Seven SUV and crossover models—including the Escape, Bronco, Explorer, Expedition, and Mustang Mach-E—face recalls for critical safety issues ranging from inverted rearview cameras to brake software failures. Five truck models, including the popular F-150 and Super Duty lines, suffer from electrical faults that disable trailer brake lights and turn signals. Three commercial van models experience braking, electrical, and visibility problems. The Mustang coupe and convertible also face camera malfunctions. Remarkably, only the Ford GT mid-engine sports car escaped this systematic quality breakdown.

Dangerous Defects Threaten Driver and Passenger Safety

The defects plaguing Ford vehicles present genuine threats to American families on the road. High voltage battery short circuits in plug-in hybrid models create fire risks, while engine block heater cracks and oil leaks compound these hazards. Brake system failures and hydraulic malfunctions compromise stopping ability at critical moments. Defrosting system failures reduce visibility during dangerous weather conditions. Rearview camera defects affect 1.74 million vehicles, displaying blank or inverted images that impair safe maneuvering. Structural issues include instrument panel covers separating during airbag deployment and side curtain airbags failing to deploy properly. These aren’t minor inconveniences—these are life-threatening defects that should never have left the factory floor.

Massive March 2026 Recall Continues the Pattern

Ford announced a massive 4.4 million vehicle recall in March 2026 affecting trucks and SUVs, with dealer notifications beginning March 17. This latest recall demonstrates that Ford’s quality problems persist well into the new administration’s tenure, despite the company’s promises to address safety concerns. While Ford commits to providing free repairs through dealerships, millions of vehicle owners face the inconvenience and safety risks of driving defective vehicles until service appointments can be scheduled. The financial burden on Ford includes parts, labor, and logistics costs, but the greater cost falls on consumers who trusted the brand and now face potential safety hazards and diminished vehicle values.

This unprecedented recall crisis illustrates what happens when corporate quality control fails American consumers. The concentration of defects across electrical systems, mechanical components, and software platforms indicates systemic manufacturing and design process breakdowns that federal regulators must investigate thoroughly. Ford’s reputation for reliability—once a cornerstone of American automotive pride—has suffered significant damage that will impact consumer confidence and purchasing decisions for years. While the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s oversight has identified these defects, the volume of recalls raises questions about whether pre-market safety standards are sufficiently rigorous to protect families who depend on vehicle safety for their daily lives.

    • But yet Chevy tells you to fix their problem by using thicker oil which doesn’t fix the problem it puts a Band-Aid on it.

  1. Ford’s “reputation for reliability”??? LOLOLOLOLOL!! I own a 2001 Ford Explorer that was built with a CHINESE MADE part that the vehicle cannot run without. China stopped making that part and Ford never did! Now unless you can find someone who knows how to find and replace that part or hard wire it in your Ford CANNOT START AND RUN.
Ford will NOT help you in any way!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Reliability??? LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

  2. Surely nowhere near as bad as Isuzu duramax and mexicoon made 5.3, brand new motors, all to be melted down.
But, still, what you get when you have thousands of obamavoters on the payroll

  3. It appears Ford has decided to follow the Microsoft business model – build crap, sell it for big $$$’s, and let the consumer discover the problems, then deny it is you, make their proble4m, charge them to fix it, and wait until some Government agency come calling before you take any action to fix the issue.
