Up until last October 7, I always gave Israel credit for being at the top of the international Intelligence community for always staying one-step-ahead of any terrorist or military attack. What the heck happened!!!? Granted, HAMAS and their Iranian trainers did an excellent job of keeping their clandestine plans secret, but there had to have been bits of information and activity leaked out to alert the Israelis that something was up. Someone was asleep-at-the-switch on that one. Also, Israeli citizens used to be armed to the teeth with personal defense weapons. Where were all those privately-owned firearms that they used to have for attacks such as October 7th? In the last two decades, something went terribly wrong with Israel’s self-defense policy.
