Financial Mismanagement Allegations
Allegations against Henyard include misusing village funds for personal expenses. An independent investigation uncovered alarming financial discrepancies, such as Dolton’s general fund plummeting from $5.61 million to a $3.65 million deficit. The report highlights questionable expenditures on Amazon and Wayfair using village credit cards.
“What a slap in the face to everybody that resides in 60419 zip code,” said Trustee Kiana Belcher in response to the findings.
Dolton and Thornton Township have received federal subpoenas as part of the probe into financial mismanagement. Henyard’s Opposition from trustee Jason House and the Clean House slate adds to her challenges.
