Federal filings showed America PAC spent about $72 million supporting President Trump’s campaign in just three months during 2024, with Musk as the group’s sole donor at the time. A source familiar with the group’s finances later told the Associated Press the total climbed to roughly $200 million by Election Day.

Musk did not stop after the 2024 election. He told supporters at the time that America PAC would “keep going” and start “preparing for the midterms,” pointing specifically to district attorney races and his interest in countering left-wing donor George Soros in local elections. That promise is now playing out, with Axios confirming the PAC’s return roughly a year and a half later.
