Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that his social media company suppressed the distribution of Hunter Biden’s laptop story under the influence of the FBI.
Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post exposed Hunter’s shady business dealings. Both Twitter and Facebook, along with mainstream media, denied airtime to the controversy to protect Biden’s candidacy.
Facebook Helped Biden
Speaking on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Zuckerberg claimed Facebook complied with the controversial FBI warning, while dealing with content related to Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 presidential election.

Now that the mainstream media acknowledged the truthfulness of Hunter’s laptop story, Zuckerberg stated he also regrets his decision to hide the true story from Facebook users.
According to Zuckerberg, the FBI contacted some employees of Facebook and asked them to be on “high alert” regarding Russian propaganda in the 2020 presidential election.
The FBI added the 2016 election was also marred by Russian propaganda. Therefore, Facebook should focus on denying its platform to Russian misinformation in the 2020 election, Zuckerberg noted.
He complied with the FBI’s instructions, considering it is a legitimate institution of the country. These warnings of the FBI urged Facebook to change its algorithm, which decreased the visibility of Hunter Biden’s laptop story.
Joe Rogan asked Zuckerberg if the FBI specifically requested him to reduce the distribution of Hunter’s laptop story. On this, Zuckerberg responded he could not recall if the law enforcement agency was specific in its demands.
As the story was based on a partisan issue, Zuckerberg said, different people see Facebook censorship differently. For instance, Zuckerberg claims people will judge Facebook regarding the censorship of Hunter’s story based on their political inclination.
Zuckerberg acknowledged it is not a good thing to censor stories that are actually true.

Liberal Media Ate Its Own Words
When the New York Post broke the story in October 2020, all mainstream media and social media giants refused to entertain the news.
Even 51 former intelligence officials, including directors of National Intelligence and CIA, accused the Post of platforming Russian disinformation campaigns.
At a time when the liberal elite and the media were busy protecting Hunter, neither Biden nor Hunter denied the authenticity of the laptop.
Previously, Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey also acknowledged his platform suppressed the distribution of Hunter Biden’s laptop story.
While Facebook only disappeared the story from its News Feeds, Twitter went one step ahead to stop the sharing of the story while restricting the New York Post account for the time being.
Zuckerberg also slammed Twitter for going to great lengths to stop the distribution of the story, adding Facebook did not follow Twitter’s path of completely banning Hunter’s mischief.
Meanwhile, liberal media outlets, including the New York Times and Washington Post, which refused to entertain Hunter’s laptop story, also acknowledged Hunter’s laptop is real.
