As we approach the winter season, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a stark warning about a potential new wave of COVID-19.
The organization’s chief, Tedros Ghebreyesus, recently expressed his concerns over the increasing hospitalizations and deaths due to the virus. He emphasized COVID-19 is here to stay, and we must continue to arm ourselves with tools to combat it.
The resurgence of COVID-19 mandates across the country seems to coincide with the election season. It appears the political machinery is in full swing, using the pandemic as a tool for garnering public attention.
Mask mandates are slowly being reintroduced in schools nationwide. President Joe Biden also announced he will be wearing a mask, following Jill Biden’s positive COVID test.

In Los Angeles County, there is talk of reinstating mask mandates due to the emergence of new COVID variants BA.286 and EG.5.
Even New Yorkers were advised to wear masks over the Labor Day weekend. This renewed emphasis on masks comes despite numerous studies suggesting their limited effectiveness in preventing the spread of respiratory diseases.
One such study is the Cochrane Study, one of the most comprehensive examinations of masking. The study found masks do almost nothing to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases.
This was common knowledge among doctors before 2020. However, the narrative changed with Dr. Fauci’s insistence on mask-wearing to prevent the spread of COVID-19, even among healthy individuals.
Unfortunately, a significant portion of the medical community has followed this advice.

The Cochrane Study concluded masks were ineffective in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Yet, the CDC, under the Biden administration, continues to spend billions of dollars purchasing new vaccine doses for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.Â
The WHO’s warning about a new COVID wave comes as deaths are increasing in parts of the Middle East and Asia, intensive care unit admissions are on the rise in Europe, and hospitalizations are increasing in several regions.
This paints a grim picture of the upcoming winter season in the Northern Hemisphere.
As we brace ourselves for this potential new wave, it is crucial to question the effectiveness of the measures being implemented. Are mask mandates and vaccines merely political tools used to control the narrative and sway public opinion during election season?Â
