Is patriotism on the decline amongst the younger generation of Americans? A big part of the country seemed to resonate with that idea, and the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, certainly seems to think so.

According to the president, a lot of the unrest around the country seems to be stemming from a certain lack of respect towards the country and a sense of entitlement, which is causing the recent protests. He has periodically said that he will work to create a Commission which will increase the patriotism towards the country by creating education programs geared towards kids.

He has been belligerent about the attempts of many news outlets and people who are trying to highlight the history of racism and slavery in the country. All of this is coming up in connection to the recent riots and protests in every major city of the United States against the government’s inaction in police violence.

President’s speech on lack of patriotism in the country

Trump took the podium at the National Archives to deliver his thought on the situation. The National Archives is famously known for housing the constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. He addressed his people to be cautious against protesters who have come down to the streets to continually protest the racial injustice and prejudice that is systemic in the country in the police, prison, and various government programs.

Considering that the recent elections are on November 3, which is just a few weeks away, both parties are trying their best to portray themselves as protectors of law and order. Donald Trump is holding no bars when it comes to targeting his vote base, which consists of conservative Republicans who are of a similar mind as the president. The opposing candidate Democratic Joe Biden has also announced that he will use his power to create a Commission to shed light on the same issue to target his Democratic vote base.

According to Trump, a certain component of the left-leaning political party and affiliated people are working to create civil unrest in the country. To do that, they are tearing down statues, memorials and creating a sense of terror in peaceful cities. A “campaign of violence and anarchy” has been unleashed that he promises to correct if he is re-elected again.

The president is unhappy with how protesters and mobs are turning the streets into violence because the protesters are showing displeasure to one of the most reputed and respected professions of the country, the police force. He is also bothered about the abundance of cancel culture in the boardroom.

Why is he calling for patriotic education?

According to him, both the protesters and the culture of silence are trying to accomplish the same thing. They are trying to scare patriotic, average Americans to scare them out from speaking the truth.

Donald Trump seems to think that the protests are bullying average Americans into forgetting their glorious history and way of life. Nobody should be living in shame and infamy over there culture, and they should be proud of it.

He declared in front of the National Archives that he would never give in to the demand of the public to forget the nation’s history. He will not allow the left to silence the voice of the right-leaning crowd. He vows to claim the glory of the country for every citizen irrespective of their color, creed, race, religion.

Both candidates have condemned the looting and violence that has followed the protest, swing it from the legitimate original message that there is a systemic problem, and change needs to happen. According to Trump, the solution to the problem is encouraging our children by informing them of the glorious American history.

The president has said that this country’s foundation has been created by an unstoppable chain of events that fought slavery add restored civil rights. The nation has fought the communist and fascist powers worldwide and made the world a better place. If the educators can mold the children with the message from a young age, then things would not be so bad anymore, according to him.
