On Saturday, violence erupted at San Francisco’s United Nations Plaza as Pro-Trump supporters who were protesting over Twitter censorship clashed with counter supporters from Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

The free speech rally that was organized by Pro-Trump supporters who were protesting over Twitter censorship was called off before it even started due to the violence that broke out between counter-protesters from Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Free speech rally fueled by Twitter’s act of censorship

Pro-Trump supporters were enraged due to Twitter’s act of censoring the posts that reveal how Joe Biden met with Pozharskyi, a Ukrainian businessman who is an associate of his son, Hunter Biden. This exchange of communication happened months before Joe Biden pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor who was then investigating Pozharskyi’s firm.

Other than banning the sharing of the New York Post, the social media giant also locked Donald Trump’s campaign account.

Meanwhile, hundreds of counter supporters turned up waving flags of violent left-wing groups, Antifa. There were also counter-protesters who were holding Black Lives Matter signs.

Pro-Trump supporters outnumbered by counter-protesters

With more than 100 counter-protesters, the dozen members of the group “Team Save America” were greatly outnumbered. The rally which was described as social media censorship of conservative ideas ended up being called off before it even started.

Despite Police’s efforts to separate the two sides, the encounter still left several in need of medical assistance.

The encounter between protesters left several in need of medical assistance. Videos posted online showed how the pro-Trump rally organizer, Philip Anderson, was being pushed and punched. Anderson later posted a graphic photo of him on Twitter with his bloodied mouth, missing a tooth. In the post, Anderson captioned, “Antifa attacked me for no reason.”

Anderson took the stage at around 1 pm, and he was met with glass bottles and plastic water bottles that were thrown over the police barricades.

Another Trump supporter was seen having a drink poured on him by counter-protesters. The man was then later seen being wheeled off on a stretcher to an ambulance with his leg in support.

According to a statement made by San Francisco Police Department last Saturday evening, opposition demonstrators started throwing glass bottles, plastic bottles filled with an unknown liquid, eggs, and metal cans at the participants of “Team Save America” and the San Francisco police officers.

The Pro-Trump supporters intended to demonstrate outside of the United Nations Plaza and then move into Twitter’s Market Street headquarters.

Meanwhile, a San Francisco police officer was also seen injured on the ground and attended to by his colleagues during the commotion. The officers were also seen pouring water on their faces after a demonstrator sprayed mace.

There were a total of six people injured in the clash between a small group of Trump supporters and a larger crowd of counter-protesters. Included in the six people who were injured are three San Francisco Police Officers.

Since Saturday evening, no arrests were made.
