Do you feel as protected in America at present, compared to two years ago? This was the survey’s question.
The majority, 67.9%, claimed they don’t really feel as secure in America as they did when Trump was president two years ago. Another 27.1 percent reported they feel similarly protected and 5% are still unclear.
Republicans and Independents both stated they don’t feel as protected in Biden’s America, with comparable percentages of 86.8% and 64.1%.
Democrats are still largely divided, with 47.8 percent of respondents saying they feel just as safe now as they did two years ago. Democrats, however, claimed only 44.9% of them feel the opposite.
Survey Takes Place in Midst of Crime Wave
The information comes as crime rates in American towns remain on the rise under Biden’s presidency.
Republican Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty issued a letter to President Biden this week, urging him to combat the nation’s wave of violence and demanding, among many other things, and show devotion to law enforcement.
Blackburn and Hagerty noted, “Strong law enforcement can halt it. Widespread criminality is not unavoidable, but to make it happen, one must support law enforcement.”

According to Breitbart News, Blackburn and Hagerty draw special attention to recent incidents in Memphis, Tennessee. Here, mom Eliza Fletcher, 34, was abducted and killed by suspected felon Cleotha Abston.
Ezekiel Kelly, 19, was detained in Memphis last week in a different incident after he was accused of carrying out seven attacks that claimed the lives of four Americans. According to reports, Kelly broadcasted the shootings live on social networks.
Senators Plead With Biden
The senators are requesting that Biden use federally funded programs to send money to police departments battling violent crime in light of the surge in attacks and murders.
Additionally, the senators are pleading with Biden to rekindle Operation Legend, which was established by the Trump Administration in 2020.
It was named in memory of a four-year-old child who was shot and murdered in Kansas City by a lone gunshot.
In order to assist local and state police partners in reducing violent crime, this operation sent federal police officers to nine major American cities.
In the course of Operation Legend, more than 6,000 people were detained between July and December 2020, including almost 467 people for murder.
Additionally, upwards of 2,600 illicit guns, as well as more than 17 kg of fentanyl were confiscated. This operation led to 266 arrests in Memphis. 124 people were charged with federal charges involving violence or drugs.

The senators also urged Biden to shut down the border in an effort to “block the chronic drugs, human smuggling, and other deadly activities moving through it,” acknowledging the open border’s reality.
According to a recent The Economist/YouGov poll, only 35% of respondents approved of Biden’s handling of crime, while 47% disapproved.
