Although many supporters see these verbal stumbles as something endearing, his chronic cases of gaffes often reveal his ill-tempered side.
For someone who pledged the return of political decorum, Joe Biden has a chronicle of bigoted cracks, angry outbursts, and public put-downs.

“Higher IQ than you do” 1987
Joe Biden verbally attacked a voter at a New Hampshire house party three decades ago. This helped derail his first attempt to win the Presidential race.

Frank Fahey, A NH high school teacher, asked Joe Biden what law school did he attended. This was responded by the meltdown where Biden snapped as he started talking about his glittering academic records.
Biden said, “I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect.” he continued by expounding more on his achievement. Reporters, later on, found that this statement was mostly imaginary.
Cameras captured the verbal attacks by Bidens. Then a few months later, Joe Biden was exposed as a serial plagiarist during his college days. After this string of incidents, he abandoned his White House bid.
“Indian-Americans, moving from India” 2006
In his second presidential bid in the year 2006, Joe Biden’s penchant for racial insensitivity gave him a series of headaches.

He told one voter, “In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans, moving from India.” He then added with a grin, “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. And I’m not joking,”
“Articulate and Bright and Clean,” 2007
It was in 2007 when Joe Biden’s attempt at magnanimity toward Barack Obama, a fellow presidential hopeful, backfired in 2007.
Biden made a remark of the then-Senator Barack Obama, “I mean, you’ve got the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” He then continued, that’s a storybook, man.”
This backhanded compliment marked Biden as an “out-of-touch remnant of a racially tone-deaf generation.” This insensitive comment also helped to advance Obama above the rest.
Obama then answered in a careful distanced response, “I didn’t take Sen. Biden’s comments personally. Obviously, they were historically inaccurate.”
Eye rolling and mugging 2012
In 2012, Voters cringed throughout the Vice Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Republican Paul Ryan. The over-aggressive Vice President put on a 90-minute display of eye-rolling and mugging.
Biden broke in, “Oh, now you’re Jack Kennedy?” while Ryan explained the Republican’s tax cut plan, which mirrors Kennedy’s in 1960.

Joe Biden scolded American troops and called them “stupid bastards,” merely because of their tepid acknowledgment to a set-up applause line.

Minutes into his speech to the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing stationed in Abu Dhabi, the Vice President snapped, “Clap for that, you stupid bastards.”
Biden, who then seemed to be looking for praise for his “incredibly good judgment” in nominating one of the officers to the Air Force Academy, however, his pronouncement was met with crickets.
He again complained, “man, you are a dull bunch.”
“You Ain’t Black,” 2020
A remark made by Biden towards a black radio host sparked anger among African-American voters.
African-American voters assumed that Joe Biden and the Democrats were taking for granted their votes.
The radio host, Charlamagne Tha God, said, “It’s a long way until November, we got more questions,” as he wrapped up a prickly interview with Joe Biden on his influential “Breakfast Club” show.

When the host said that they got more questions, Biden flared and said, “You got more questions? Well, I’m telling you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
This crack stirred instant ire from both political sides. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said, “That is the most arrogant, condescending comment I’ve heard in a long time, and that’s saying something.”
