The highly progressive border policies of the Biden administration are rapidly intensifying the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.
In August, illegal immigrant encounters are expected to reach a whopping 200,000 mark, not to mention the current fiscal year has already broken all the previous records for illegal border crossings.
Absolute Chaos at the Southern Border
Earlier this week, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the southern border had 199,976 migrant encounters in July. This takes the total tally of this year’s migrant encounters to 1.946 million.
Based on the projected data, the total illegal migrants count for this year has already crossed the two million mark for the first time in history by the halfway point of August, even though the fiscal year is yet to complete.
These border crises have been ripening since Biden’s inauguration. In late 2020, migrant encounters stood at merely 72,000 a month, which rose to 173,000 in March 2021.
Since then, no month has recorded less than 150,000 migrant encounters.
The only net zero we should really be pursuing is net zero illegal immigration.

The Biden administration has suggested that the number of encounters is rising, due to recidivism, as many people are sent back under Title 42 expulsions.
Therefore, they try to enter the United States again. Title 42 allows law enforcement agencies to deny entry to illegal immigrants citing the health protocols.
However, July data indicates that 162,792 border encounters were unique last month, which deflates the recidivism narrative of the Biden administration. A federal judge has already stopped the administration from removing Title 42 expulsions.
Due to the rising wave of illegal immigrants, political tensions have also been surging in the country. Arizona and Texas are now sending their illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C. and New York.
This week, another bus carrying 52 illegal migrants reached New York City from Texas, which has created concerns among the liberal administration of the city.
Manuel Castro, the New York City Immigrant Affairs Commissioner, noted that Texas Governor Greg Abbott forced the migrants to sign documents that sent them to NYC.
Unbelievable.
While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration.
Biden’s open border policies caused this crisis.
The federal government must do its job & fix it. https://t.co/4yqR8uQMo8

Even Dems Are Endorsing Republicans’ Efforts to Tackle Immigration Crisis
Meanwhile, even some Democrats have appreciated the Texas governor for starting an interstate bus service for illegal immigrants.
Former Democratic governor of New York, David Paterson, noted that Greg Abbott has become one of the top contenders for the Republican Party for the 2024 presidential nomination.
This is after Abbott came into the spotlight for starting a bus service for illegal immigrants.
If Donald Trump does not run for reelection, Paterson continued, Abbott can give a tough time to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former Vice President Mike Pence in the Republican presidential primaries.
Even though some people thought Abbott’s attempt to deport illegal immigrants was funny, it was an effective political action that impressed a lot of Republican voters, Paterson added.
