Red State officials are moving to defend their laws in court as they take legislative action to limit transgender athletes in Girl’s sports.

In a statement to Fox News, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch said, “Mississippi passed a law this year based on the basic premise that girls, and only girls, should play in girls’ sports. The ink wasn’t even dry from Governor Reeves’ signature before Sports Illustrated was reporting that the ACLU was preparing to sue and the NCAA threatened to take away championship competitions from our State.” Fitch added, “When the Fairness Act becomes law on July 1, I will be ready to defend this law and to defend the right of Mississippi’s girls to compete fairly.”
Arkansas Attorney General, Leslie Rutledge also delivered a statement to Fox News. Rutledge said, “Here is my message to President Biden if he decides to sue the State of Arkansas to stop us from implementing the GIRLS Act which protects the opportunities of our young girls: Bring it on, Biden! I will wholeheartedly defend and win to ensure girls in Arkansas have a fair playing field to succeed.”
And just like that, the Democrat party threw young women under the bus to be replaced by trans people.

On his first day in Office, Biden signed an Executive Order aiming to prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation. He also called on schools all over the country to allow transgender athletes to participate in sports based on their gender identity.
In addition to this, Biden’s Justice Department also pledged to “fully enforce” protections for trangender people.
A spokesperson of the Justice Department told Fox News, “The Department of Justice intends to fully enforce our civil rights statutes to protect transgender individuals.”

Meanwhile, Republican Governor Tate Reeve’s already imposed a statewide ban in Mississipi public schools last March. The ban will prevent biological male athletes who identify themselves as transgender from competing in female sports in the state of Mississippi.
According to Republican Officials from Mississippi, said law is a necessary response to Biden’s executive order calling schools all over the country to allow transgender students to participate in sports of their chosen gender identity. Said law will affect state schools in Mississippi as well as universities.
The state legislation known as the Mississippi Fairness Act is only one of two dozen other bills that are surfacing around the country as some Republicans fear allowing biological male athletes to participate in female sports could remove biological females of opportunities to fairly compete.

On Thursday, Arkansas also imposed the ban, making them the second state to impose the ban of transgender athletes from participating in sporting events this year.
In March, Governor Asa Hutchinson signed the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act after the measure was passed through the state House with overwhelming support. Said bill will ban transgender women and girls from participating in female sporting events.
Hutchinson said, “This law simply says that female athletes should not have to compete in a sport against a student of the male sex when the sport is designed for women’s competition.” The governor added, “This will help promote and maintain fairness in women’s sporting events.”
