Since the 2020 presidential election, rumors of voter fraud have been swarming around, despite these claims failing to hold up in a court of law.
After the 2020 presidential election, then-President Trump’s legal team brought litigation before the courts. Though none of it ultimately panned out; that was because of a lack of evidence.
Nevertheless, the notion of the 2020 presidential election being rigged and stolen has still been floating around. People who share this view often fault Dominion Voting machines for what they believe to have been a rigged presidential election.
Now, the chief of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, is being deposed in a lawsuit by none other than Dominion Voting Systems, per MSN.
What to Know About Murdoch’s Deposition
Dominion claims on Murdoch’s watch, Fox News spread untrue assertions that Dominion Voting machines swung the race in favor of Biden, rather than Trump.
Fox News previously tried to have the court toss out this lawsuit, but in December 2021, the court ruled the case could move forward. Currently, $1.6 billion in damages is what Dominion is looking for.

As for Murdoch’s deposition, attorneys representing Dominion will sit down and ask Murdoch questions under oath. This will take place on Thursday and Friday; it will also play a role in whether or not Fox News ends up having to pay out damages to Dominion.
Certain defamation attorneys believe that Dominion’s case against Fox News could be solid. The reason posited for this is due to the alleged “malice” of hosts with Fox News proceeding with allegations of voter fraud even after such claims were disproven.
Public Feedback
Many people who don’t like Fox News have been cheering on the news of Murdoch’s deposition and Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit. Others stated that if Fox loses in court, it could be potentially bankrupted.
The trial for this case will begin on April 17 and last for a five week time period. It is during this time that Americans can expect to learn more information. Some things to keep an eye out for are how Fox News fares in this lawsuit and additional litigation that Dominion may move forward with.

So far, Dominion Voting Systems has already gone after former Trump attorneys Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani for their own unfounded claims about the company’s voting machines.
Since the lawsuit initated by Dominion, Fox News cooled off on allegations of voter fraud. It’s not a matter the network has talked about in quite some time; nevertheless, Dominion Voting Systems still intends to see this litigation all the way through.
