Evan McMullin, the Independent nominee for Utah Senate, appeared on Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” Thursday evening to disassociate his candidacy from the Democrat Party.
McMullin, who was supported by the Democrat Party in April to compete against Republican incumbent Sen. Mike Lee, disputed soliciting money through the party’s funding website ActBlue.

McMullin, espousing donations from persons across the political scale, asserted, “These are lies.”
Far From an Independent
Per a list of transactions itemized by the Federal Election Commission, McMullin collected upwards of $350,000 from the liberal fundraising operation.
The self-proclaimed nonpartisan candidate’s website contains direct links to ActBlue and his campaign spent $1.6 million on Democratic advisers to operate it. On McMullin’s list of donors are also prominent Democratic fund-raisers like Reid Hoffman and Rob Stein.
On Monday, Emerson College released the most recent significant poll in the race, which shows Lee with a 10-point advantage with less than two weeks until Election Day.

Although McMullin pretends to be an Independent politician, his Democrat-funded candidacy embraced all the left-wing sound bites of a partisan, leftist politician.
McMullin campaigned against the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and defamed the GOP incumbent with claims about the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
On the political stage at Utah Valley University in October, McMullin accused Lee of working with the White House to seize control of the Electoral College and sway the 2020 election in favor of President Trump.
A sincere analysis of the events, however, reveals that to be false.
As per book research by Robert Costa and Bob Woodward, two stalwarts of the Washington elite, Lee’s involvement in a campaign seeking alternative electors was limited to “a social media effort — an amateur drive with no legal footing,” not an actual White House conspiracy.
Lee answered McMullin that he had responsibilities in the days preceding January 6, when the polls would be open and counted.
He stated speculations were circulating that several states were contemplating changing their electoral lists.
If that were the case, he would need to be aware of it. He researched the topic. He made calls to determine if the rumors were accurate. False rumors circulated. Consequently, he voted to certify the election results.
Mitt Romney
While Lee campaigns for a third term in the upper chamber, Mitt Romney is the only Republican senator from the same county and party who has not backed his reelection.
In mid-October, Lee pushed Romney to support the campaign on Fox News.
Lee stated he does not believe Romney desires Chuck Schumer to remain as the Senate Majority Leader. If he is correct, then Romney ought to come on board since that is precisely what he will provide.
Romney has not provided an endorsement with only seven days until Election Day.
