Earlier this month, Florida Democrats nominated Charlie Crist to face off against Governor Ron DeSantis.
Crist and Democrats believe (or at least publicly claim) they’ll be able to unseat DeSantis and make Florida a blue state again. Although, the Florida governor’s polling and his fundraising tell a very different story.
Every single poll shows DeSantis leading Crist by multiple points. DeSantis has also raised many times more money than the Florida Democrat.
Now, with the general race playing out, DeSantis is also getting far more endorsements than his Democratic rival, as documented by Breitbart News.
Major Momentum Behind DeSantis
Some of the latest endorsements for DeSantis’ reelection campaign have come from the Florida Retail Association, the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA), and Florida Realtors.
Crist, on the other hand, has gotten the support of California Governor Gavin Newsom. Newsom, who isn’t very well-liked in Florida at all, expressed his view that DeSantis needs to be made a “one-term” governor and vowed to donate $100,000 to Crist’s gubernatorial campaign.
The Left know their radical ideas won't win at the ballot box so they enlist the pressure of corporate America to try and dictate public policy.

The latest organizations to endorse DeSantis have championed his record on jobs, the real estate industry, the economy, and more.
Crist, meanwhile, has gone on record saying he doesn’t even want the votes of people who support DeSantis. Per the Florida Democrat, residents of his state backing DeSantis are living with “hate” in their hearts.
To this end, Crist doesn’t have to worry about getting DeSantis supporters to vote for him. However, this also works against the Florida Democrat because GOP voters in the state outnumber Democratic ones.
Some people have suggested it was foolish for Crist to lash out against those Floridians who support the current governor.
A Predictable Outcome
For all intents and purposes, DeSantis appears to be a shoo-in for the Florida governor’s race. Despite Crist repeatedly taking shots at him online, there’s no indicator that Crist is seriously going to beat DeSantis in November.
It’s been pointed out on numerous occasions that so many people are moving to Florida because they actually like how the state is being led on DeSantis’ watch.
Florida is number one in migration..people are moving there in droves. It’s because they love what’s going on in Florida…if you don’t like it..you move.

Crist has been clear that he’d do the opposite of what DeSantis has done, thereby turning Florida into a mini version of California.
Ironically, Newsom’s endorsement of Crist arrives as so many people and businesses have been leaving California to relocate to Florida.
Having the California governor endorse Crist in a red state like Florida isn’t going to take Crist as far as he may think it will.
