On Thursday night’s episode of “The Daily Show,” comedian Trevor Noah had some firm words for Democrats who were pushing for lockdown but then violated them at the same time.
The comedian even went as far as saying that Democrats who break their own lockdown rules are worse than anti-mask activists.
Noah said, “Oh, man, come on. What is it with these Democrats? Hey everybody, this is your mayor here, telling you to stay home and stay safe. Do the right thing. All my boys in the pool know what I’m talking about!” He continued by saying that while everyone has given up their lives, there are these politicians who are just “hypocrites.”
weren’t you just at a big dinner party at the French Laundry? or was that a different Gavin Newsome??

He then added, “What, you guys think corona respects your office too much to come after you? Because don’t forget it got the president of the United States, it’s not going to be star-struck by Governor Hair Gel.”
Noah then referred to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s 22 person dinner at the ultra-fancy restaurant, The French Laundry at Napa. He also noted that the Democrats would usually bring up Republican rule-breakers, but Noah emphasized that Republicans are at least honest about it.
“And yeah, I know that Republicans are also having big indoor parties. I know that. Some people are like, ‘Oh Trevor, what about the Republicans.’ Yea, everyone expects them to be doing this,” he said.
.@TrevorNoah goes after Dem politicians for telling ppl to stay at home while dining out and vacationing: “In a way, these Democrats are even worse than the anti-maskers because of their hypocrisy” https://t.co/6AceLIah9g

Noah then remarked that, in a way, Democrats are “even worse” than the “anti-maskers” due to their hypocrisy. He then added, at least when Republicans break the rules, they are open and honest about it.
The hypocrisy of Democrats has been a recurring theme over the past few weeks. This started when California Governor Gavin Newsom attended a large dinner at The French Laundry involving 22 people after imposing a stay-at-home order.
After this hypocrisy by Newsom, several other Democrats were caught, acting in contrast with their own guidelines. Including among them were the Mayor of Austin and the Mayor of San Francisco.

Concerning these actions, Kayleigh McEnany, the White House Press Secretary, called out these democrats in a press conference earlier this week.
She said, “behind me, you will see displayed images of Democrat hypocrisy playing on loop. These images depict the following: They show Governor Gavin Newsom of California dining both maskless and indoors at the fancy French Laundry restaurant, despite severe lockdown restrictions against indoor dining for the very people he governs. You’ll see Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot celebrating in the non-socially distant streets of her city.”
McEnany also showed pictures of Speaker Nancy Pelosi inside a hair salon in San Francisco when salons in California were said to be only open for outdoor services.

The White House Press secretary then added a picture of CNN Chris Cuomo allegedly staging his emergence from quarantine while he was spotted going on a bike ride in the Hamptons, breaking his brother, Governor Cuomo’s quarantine rules.
Another notable democrat who acted against their own lockdown restrictions in San Francisco Mayor London Breed, who was also seen dining in at the French Laundry restaurant with eight people.
Finally, Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl has also seen dining at a Santa Monica restaurant after voting to ban outdoor dining at over 30,000 restaurants throughout LA. She even called outdoor dining the “most dangerous situation.”
