Darren Bailey: Get Off Your High Horse

State senator and Republican candidate for governor Darren Bailey, a third-generation farmer, declared his goal to “rescue” the Prairie State to Breitbart News on Sunday.

He said this in response to the “mess” that Democratic leaders had created.

Mayor Lightfoot Created a Mess

He said, “Mayor Lightfoot, I’ll tidy up the chaos you and Gov. J.B. Pritzker started and restore Illinois. Then, I’ll go home to my farm.”

Together with Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker and Vice President Kamala Harris, Lightfoot made the insulting remarks on Friday at a rally, encouraging people to back Democrats in the upcoming election.

“So, there’s no doubt: Trump is a candidate. Darren Bailey is the man’s name. We must return him to the farm,” she added.

“When you enter the voting pool, every Republican candidate you will see has Trump on their ballot. Additionally, keep in mind that we are from Illinois,” she continued. “We are a state that upholds human rights and pledges to treat everybody with respect and decency.”

According to Bailey’s campaign website, the Illinois gubernatorial candidate is a “proud” farmer who is battling for liberty, while upholding an American tradition.

Darren gained an early understanding of what it means to toil hard and make an honest income while growing up on the Bailey Family Farm.

Bailey Family Farm is currently owned and run by Darren and his kids. He continues one of America’s oldest professions by cultivating corn, wheat, and soybeans.

He is also said to be “based in the conservative sentiments of social accountability, personal freedom, and hard labor.” He “realizes these treasured freedoms are endangered every day by big government and strong career politicians.”

Bailey recently got support from the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police as a result of his tough-on-crime approach.

He criticized the state’s SAFE-T (Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today) Act last month, which limits the degree of force police officers are allowed to use and ends cash bail in Illinois.

Thousands of defendants convicted of second-degree murder, abduction, burglary, theft, and other severe crimes will be released from jail thanks to the new law, which was enacted by Democrats.

Bailey: Remember Who Feeds You

The statute, which is set to go into force in January, will be repealed, according to Bailey, if he is elected.

The same “reform” package, he claimed, “allows for anonymous and unsworn grievances to be made against police agencies and makes it tricky to charge murder accessories.”

He also blamed Pritzker and Lightfoot for the rise in violent crime by denying law enforcement officials the resources they needed to combat criminals.

Bailey stated, “Unfortunately, Governor J.B. Pritzker, Mayor Lightfoot, as well as the other elite extremists in our state sense our police officers as the adversary.”
