CDC Alters Its Guidelines on COVID

For years on end, Americans have been bombarded with different COVID guidelines. People were told to hold off on travel, keep six feet apart, and otherwise upend their lives.

None of these measures ended COVID as people were told they would. To this day, even the vaccines that were promoted and advised by the CDC do not prevent people from coming down with the virus or passing it on to others.

This year, many Americans have grown tired of various restrictions and guidelines involving COVID. After 2020 and 2021, people are ready to get back to their lives.

On Thursday, the CDC shocked everyone when it made some serious alterations to its guidelines, as reported by Newsmax.

The Latest CDC Guidelines to Know About

According to the CDC, people are no longer advised to maintain a six-feet distance from one another or self-isolate when coming into contact with someone who has COVID.

Ironically, natural immunity has been branded as the reason for these changes. The CDC claims that most Americans who are at least 16 have some form of immunity against the virus.

Immunity from COVID comes from either being previously infected or having the COVID vaccine. Ironically, when people mentioned natural immunity before, they were branded as conspiracy theorists who were spreading “misinformation.”

In follow-up statements, the CDC explained that America’s situation today regarding COVID is a far cry from where the nation was in 2020 or even 2021.

Pushback From an Unlikely Source

When the CDC was on board with heavy mandates and limitations, it received a lot of accolades and support from left-leaning folks.

Yet, the very same people who screamed that everyone should listen to “the experts” on COVID are taking a different stance now that these same experts are singing a different tune.

Already, on social media, some folks have been clear they’ll continue to adhere to six-feet distance guidelines, in addition to quarantining when they come into contact with someone who is COVID-positive.

This latest shift in guidance from the CDC comes as public opinion has quickly shifted against high-handed mandates that infringe on people’s lives.

Polls show growing numbers of people realizing that COVID is something the general public will have to figure out how to live with.

In 2022 alone, some officials have even suggested that if medical experts continue to push for heavy restrictions at all times, the public will eventually begin to tune all of it out.

Some social media users speculated this was also a factor in changes to the CDC’s COVID guidelines released on Thursday.
