Biden campaign admitted that Joe Biden may have had met an executive of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company at the time that he was still sitting as the Vice President and when his son was a board member of the company.
The report from the New York Post revealed an email cache that was found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. The email raises new allegations about Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s dealings with a Ukrainian firm called Burisma.
Then, people were also quick to notice that when Joe Biden served as the Vice President, he pressed on removing a prosecutor investigating Burisma.

Meanwhile, the Biden campaign released a statement denouncing the report released by The New York Post. The Democrats ruled out any official meetings that happened between the Ukranian adviser, Pozharskyi and Joe Biden. However, the Biden campaign could not say that the two have never met.Â
Andrew Bates, Biden’s campaign spokesman told Politico that, they have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from that time frame, and there are no meetings with the Ukrainian firm that ever took place.
Bates further stated, investigations by the press during impeachment and two Republican-led Senate committees whose work was labeled as “not legitimate” had all led to the same conclusion that Joe Biden did not had an official US policy toward Ukrainian and that he did not engage in any wrongdoings.Â
However, notwithstanding Bates’ strong condemnation, he could not say for sure that Joe Biden and Pozharskyi did not have an informal meeting.Â
Joe Biden’s side would not rule out the possibility that he had some informal interaction with Pozharskyi. They just said it did not appear on Biden’s official schedule at that time that he was still sitting as a vice president. Meanwhile, Pozharskyi did not comment on this issue.
What the email to Pozharskyi contains:
The New York Post published the email dated April 17, 2015. It was an email from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.
The email was addressed to Hunter Biden. It can be seen that Pozharskyi thanked him for setting up a meeting between him and his father, then-Vice President Biden.Â
The email date is roughly a year after Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma with a reported salary of $50,000 per month, despite not having any working experience in the energy sector.Â
In the email, Pozharskyi also said that it was “an honor and pleasure” to meet Joe Biden. He followed up with a question asking Hunter Biden if he wanted to meet for a quick coffee.
Meanwhile, at the end of 2015, former Vice President Biden, who was then leading US diplomatic relations with Ukraine, started pushing the Ukrainian government to take action against a Ukrainian Prosecutor, General Viktor Shokin. Biden even went as far as withholding $1 Billion worth of US aid to Ukraine until they voted to oust Shokin from office. Viktor Shokin was then investigating Burisma for alleged corruption.Â
Biden’s Previous Claims Of Ignorance About His Son’s Dealings, Debunked
These emails call into question Joe Biden’s previous claims of ignorance about his son’s business dealings in other countries. For instance, in September 2019, Biden denied talking to Hunter Biden about his business dealings.
He was quoted saying, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” instead he added that President Trump should be investigated for his act of “trying to intimidate a foreign leading”, indicating to a phone call made by Trump in July 2019, between him and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.Â
