Vice President Kamala Harris is continuously tanking in polls as she maintains her silence about the disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Americans think Vice President Kamala Harris is not at all fit to assume the duties of a President
On Thursday, the Rassmussen survey revealed how Americans further soured on Harris. 55% of voters say that Harris is either “not qualified” or not at all equipped to assume the responsibilities of a U.S. president.

The recent poll was taken between August 12 to 15 as the Taliban insurgents advance to control Afghanistan; this led to the collapse of the country, a few weeks before the August 31 deadline set by the Biden administration to withdraw all U.S. forces in the country. Meanwhile, Biden’s vice president stayed mum and has not made any public address since last week.
It can be noted that Harris took part in at least four briefings with Biden and the national security team. However, the vice president did not appear at Biden’s side when he tried to defend the of U.S. troops in his remarks on Monday at the White House East Room. Instead, the vice president confined her statements about the issue to Twitter.
On Monday, Harris wrote in a tweet stating that for twenty years, U.S. service members have been putting their lives at risk in Afghanistan and they will always be proud and grateful. However, Harris likewise backed up the Biden administration’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops, stating that it was the “right decision”.
On Tuesday, Harris also posted a tweet saying the U.S. went to Afghanistan two decades ago. However, now, their mission is to evacuate Americans, Afghan allies, and vulnerable Afghan people.
Harris was seen laughing after reporters asked her questions related to the crisis in Afghanistan
The statements made by Harris are an apparent contradiction from her remarks back on April 25. Harris stated that when Biden made the decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, she was the last person with him, adding that she “wholeheartedly” supported the move.
At that time, Harris told CNN that Biden is a president who possesses an “extraordinary amount” of bravery. She added that Biden is repeatedly seen making decisions based on what he absolutely believes is the right move.
This is based on his years of working and studying these issues. However, Harris received extreme backlash for her failure to publicly address the Afghanistan issue sooner.

Then on Friday, Harris received yet another criticism after video footage showed her laughing when a reporter asked her questions related to the deadly chaos in Afghanistan. In the video, Harris can be seen grinning widely as she cut the reporter off, telling the media to hold on before bursting into her notorious laugh.
