During and after the 2016 presidential election, then-candidate Donald Trump was hit with all sorts of allegations pertaining to Russian collusion.
Despite evidence that would later prove to the contrary, Trump’s detractors (including Hillary Clinton) went on record claiming that Trump worked with the Russian government to ensure he made it into the White House.
In doing this, Democrats naturally undermined the 2016 presidential election, despite their claims today that to raise questions about an election’s results is an act of fascism and being against democracy.
Because of all that Clinton and others in her orbit did in 2016, Trump brought a lawsuit against them. However, that lawsuit has since been thrown out, as documented by Newsmax.
What to Know About the Rejected Lawsuit
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida raised many issues with the lawsuit that Trump brought against the Democratic National Committee, along with Hillary Clinton and additional defendants.
According to Judge Donald Middlebrooks, the lawsuit amounted to little more than a “political manifesto” about how he believes his rivals have slighted him. The judge then went on to claim the court wasn’t the right outlet to express these concerns.

Other raised issues dealt with the statute of limitations which already passed, in addition to the complaints raised by Trump being cited by the judge as constitutionally shielded free speech.
Due to Middlebrooks being appointed to the court by former President Bill Clinton, Trump called on the judge to recuse himself. However, Middlebrooks declined this as well.
The judge argued that because each federal judge is appointed by a president who’s either a Republican or Democrat, it could theoretically be said this makes each of them indebted to one side or the next.
Response From Trump’s Legal Team
In reaction to Middlebrooks’ rejection of the ex-president’s lawsuit, Trump’s legal team made it clear he’s got no intentions of backing down.
A statement was released by Trump’s attorneys, with mention they do not at all agree with the conclusion provided by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Moreover, after alleging “erroneous [legal] applications,” Trump’s legal team said it will ultimately repeal the decision handed down by the Florida federal judge.
Despite Middlebrooks’ assertions that issues raised in the lawsuit were largely covered by the First Amendment, Trump’s attorneys maintain that he was wrongly implicated in various wrongdoings throughout the time of the 2016 presidential election and even after this election passed.
